An integral part of our service is available TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY to respond when someone passes away. Being able to respond sensitively and professionally requires a team of dedicated staff, vehicles, and specialist equipment to ensure that the transfer of your loved one is carried out with dignity. It complies with all the Health and Safety legislation.

Whenever a death occurs in the community (different procedures are required for Hospitals), your first call should be to the Searson family. We can give you all the essential guidance, make sure the death is pronounced, and that we're permitted to attend. We will make the necessary calls for you if there are any uncertainties. Once we have received your information, we will contact our Transfer Team. During the day, we aim to attend within two hours, outside working hours, and our response time is often within the hour. However, we will keep you informed of who will be attending and the approximate time of their arrival, and should there be a delay due to waiting for a doctor's attendance, we will keep you informed of that. When we attend, we aim to arrive discreetly, with no 'Private Ambulance', no flashing lights, and just ordinary-looking vehicles so as not to draw unnecessary attention.
