TRANSFER SERVICE

This is an integral part of our service, which is available TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY to respond when someone passes away. Being able to respond sensitively and professionally requires a team of dedicated staff, vehicles, and specialist equipment to ensure your loved one's transfer is carried out with dignity and in compliance with all Health and Safety legislation.

Whenever a death occurs in the community (different procedures apply in Hospitals), your first call should be to the Searson family. We can provide you with all the essential guidance, ensure the death is pronounced, and confirm that we're permitted to attend. We will make the necessary calls for you if there are any uncertainties. Once we have received your information, we will contact our First Call Team. During the day, we aim to respond within two hours; outside working hours, our response time is often within an hour. However, we will keep you informed of who will be attending and the approximate time of their arrival, and should there be a delay due to waiting for a doctor's arrival, we will keep you informed of that as well. When we attend, we aim to arrive discreetly, with no 'Private Ambulance' or flashing lights, and just ordinary-looking vehicles, so as not to draw unnecessary attention.

In addition, our 'Transfer Service' and the procedures we use are in full compliance with the UK FUNERAL DIRECTOR CODE. This compliance ensures that every step we take is managed appropriately and in accordance with the required standards.

Our Transfer Service has a charge, and depending upon the time of day, this charge will be variable:
